Everywhere. I wish I was kidding. Currently I am playing catch up after a hectic but enjoyable road trip across the country. It was also my Birthday, so I shoved my obligations even further away from me because I am one tired potato.
Before I get started, I wanted to let you know that I am doing a Birthday Giveaway for one signed HARD COVER copy of Sleepless Flame. This version of the book is NOT AVAILABLE in stores, so it is super extra special. I will have a video up on it, but here is the link to the giveaway:
It had been my wildest dream to play with Precious Metal Clay (aka PMC), and had refrained because the material is so damned expensive and I had always thought it took wayyyyy too many supplies to make it plausible.
HOWEVER, I came to the realization that I own a Brulee torch, the fire demon collecting dust on the top of my fridge. And Copper Clay as opposed to Silver is considerably cheaper (In addition, you can make the shit yourself.)
FACK what a year this has been. But I am happy to announce that the chaos that has been gnawing at my backside since last Fall has finally subsided, and I am able to go back to our normal scheduled programming.
Which means that the sequel to Sleepless Flame is back in progress! I will be using this blog as an accountability tracker and hopefully take you all along for the ride as I post word counts, snippets, and teasers for the next chapter, titled Mourning Ember.
Before all this nonsense afflicted me, I was intending on releasing in July to catch the Summer Reads wave, but I am pretty pessimistic about that outcome. I do not want a repeat of the crap I had to deal with from the first book, so I am shooting for October for a more relaxed experience. But who the hell knows?
This blog won’t be all focused on the book. I have exciting things incoming this year, from new projects to shows and even more writing adventures that have nothing to do with the series. Some short fiction as well!
So sit back, enjoy the ride, and grab a snack or two as we head forth into whatever bullshit my brains decide to fling at the internet.
I have a table at the Nor’Geekster in the Portland Maine Mall where I will be peddling my jewelry and books! Stop by and say hello and do a bit of holiday shopping with a TON of geeky crafters! More information on the event can be found at the official Facebook page.
My SO had surprised me with a selection of clearance fabrics from the spooky section of a famous discount department store, and because I will take any excuse to avoid actual work, I decided to get DIY all over my pin board.
Once in a purple moon, Odin manages to shed the layers of dust from their carapace and crawl into the daylight. This time, I ventured into the heart of Boston to see a show from one of my eccentric music tastes.
Aside from rambling off on my space here on the blog, I do a lot of word vomiting on Twitter. I have been following a lot of writer hashtags, and I thought I would share a collection of them here since they delve into some background and scenery topics of the Sleepless Flame world.
If you aren’t already following me there, I’d highly recommend it for extra tidbits to read while you are waiting for my slow ass to crank the sequel out of my brains.
It’s that time again! That time where Odin’s spooky heart gushes over delightful fragrances and magical potions! This time, a wonderful collection from Hexennact Scents, one of the companies that runs the Poisoner’s Guild, which I had featured on a YouTube video a while back:
